Experience

Ransom Solutions

Non-Profit Communications

My background in ministry began in Mobile, Alabama, where my family and I worked closely with local families and individuals facing hardship. What started as a small effort, providing home-cooked meals out of church facilities, quickly grew into a broader outreach mission. Over time, we expanded our work to include recycling initiatives and “road-to-work” programs designed to help convicts, individuals recovering from addiction, and people experiencing poverty find stability and a path forward. Through these efforts, I witnessed firsthand the challenges of breaking generational cycles of poverty and the transformative power of consistent support, dignity, and opportunity. This experience grounded me in compassion, strengthened my commitment to service, and shaped my belief in helping people rebuild their lives with confidence and community. I gained fundraising skills while also getting first-hand experience in the non-profit field over the course of 15 years to date.

The Mix

Manager/ Buyer

In my current position as the manager and Director of Day-to-Day Operations for a women’s clothing boutique in Auburn, Alabama, I’ve strengthened both my leadership and retail management skills. I’ve developed strong relationships with brand representatives and have traveled to market in New York City as a buyer, selecting elevated styles and exclusive brands that reflect our customers’ preferences. Working with a diverse team of girls from all over, I focus on creating a supportive environment and delivering tailored, high-quality shopping experiences for every client. My responsibilities have also expanded my expertise in inventory management, merchandising, and client satisfaction, allowing me to blend creativity with operational efficiency while helping the store continue to grow and stand out in a competitive market.

Storybook Farm

Non-Profit Communications

I had the privilege of supporting Storybook Farm, a nonprofit in the Opelika–Auburn community that integrates STEM education and literacy with the healing power of nature and animal-assisted therapy. I contributed to strengthening the organization’s communication efforts by writing a comprehensive media kit designed to elevate their public presence and clearly communicate their mission. I also conducted a semester-long research campaign, analyzing community engagement, awareness, program impact, and potential outreach strategies to help the organization better connect with families and volunteers. Through this work, I deepened my understanding of nonprofit communications, research methodology, and the transformative role organizations like Storybook Farm play in supporting children’s growth and well-being.

Alabama Real Estate

Real Estate License

In 2022, I earned my real estate license, becoming the youngest agent at Roberts Brothers brokerage in Mobile, AL, to do so. This milestone marked the beginning of my professional career in the industry. Through hosting multiple open houses and working closely with clients, I gained firsthand experience guiding individuals and families toward finding their dream homes. My work required strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand each client’s unique needs. In addition, I developed a solid foundation in contract law, property law, and real estate regulations, which allowed me to navigate transactions confidently and ethically. This early start in real estate taught me professionalism, responsibility, and the importance of building trust through exceptional service.

Lucy’s

Serving

During my time working at Lucy’s, a high-end restaurant in Auburn, Alabama, I gained hands-on experience in refined, guest-focused service. I learned how to deliver elevated hospitality while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment. My role included hosting and coordinating large parties and business dinners, which strengthened my organization and multitasking skills. I also had the opportunity to work alongside leaders connected to Auburn University’s hospitality program, giving me valuable insight into industry best practices and helping me develop a strong professional foundation in customer service and upscale dining operations. I gained event planning skills and built upon my marketing and coordinating efforts.

Young Life

Missions

I also had the opportunity to serve through Young Life of Mobile on a two-week mission trip to a children’s orphanage in Guatemala City, an experience that had a profound impact on me both personally and spiritually. During my time there, I helped care for more than 100 children, an unforgettable group I even had the joy of celebrating my birthday with. Immersed in daily life at the orphanage, I strengthened my Spanish language skills and gained firsthand experience working across cultural and socioeconomic boundaries. I also assisted in implementing child-development programs that supported the children’s emotional, educational, and social growth. This experience deepened my compassion, broadened my global perspective, and strengthened my commitment to serving others.

Education

As I prepare to graduate from Auburn University in May with a degree in Public Relations, I carry forward a foundation shaped by rigorous academic training and hands‑on experience. My coursework has strengthened my media relations skills and strategic communication abilities, enabling me to understand how messages move, influence, and resonate across diverse audiences. This spring, I will further expand my professional development through an internship with a local government relations group, where I will apply my classroom learning to real‑world public affairs work. Together, these experiences have equipped me with the analytical insight, practical competence, and ethical grounding essential for a career in the evolving field of public relations. I have been forever changed by this incredible University and have an immeasurable amount of gratitude for my peers and professors. War Eagle!
